NOTE: Catalyst now uses Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO) for authentication, and passwords can no longer be changed by EBM staff or Catalyst admins. All user password management is now handled by your organization’s IT team through Microsoft.
For Most Users
If a user needs help with their password, they must follow their internal Microsoft account procedures or reach out to their IT department. EBM and Catalyst admins no longer have access to reset or change user passwords.
Legacy Environments (Still Using Catalyst-Managed Credentials)
If your Catalyst environment has not yet been migrated to Microsoft SSO, and you still see login screens requesting a username and password (instead of a Microsoft login), then admin users may still have the ability to change another user's password using impersonation:
How to Change Another User’s Password (Legacy Only)
Go to Administration → User Management → User.
Locate the user whose password you need to change.
Click the profile dropdown next to their name and select "Impersonate User."
You’ll be redirected to the Catalyst homepage, now impersonating that user.
Click the dropdown at the top right (now acting as the user), and choose "Change Password."
After changing the password, return to the top-right menu and click "End Impersonation" to go back to your own account.
If you're unsure whether your environment still allows this or not, or need help identifying which version you’re on, contact EBM Support and we’ll confirm the appropriate steps.
