Adding a New Company ID to Catalyst

Use Cases

Here are two situations where you might need to add a new company ID:

• Merger or Acquisition: If your company has merged with another or acquired a new subsidiary, you'll need to add their unique company ID to Catalyst to track and manage their data effectively.

• New Client Onboarding: When a new client signs up for your services, you'll need to create a new company ID in Catalyst to store their specific data and manage their access.

Methods for Adding a New Company ID

There are two main methods for adding a new company ID to Catalyst:

Method 1: In-App Editing

1. Navigate to Administration.

2. Click on Hierarchies.

3. Select Edit Company Hierarchy.

4. Switch to the Tree View tab.

5. Expand the parent group (node) where you want to add the new company ID (leaf).

6. Click the + button to add a child node.

7. Enter the new company ID and name in the respective fields.

8. Click Save.

Method 2: Upload a Template

1. Go to the Export/Upload tab.

2. Apply any filters (doesn't affect adding a new company ID).

3. Under Excel Options, click Export.

4. Open the downloaded Excel file.

5. Add a new row at the bottom for your new company ID. Do not edit the existing headers.

6. Enter the company ID and name in the corresponding columns.

7. Save the updated Excel file.

8. Back in Catalyst, under Excel Options, click Upload.

9. Select the saved Excel file and click Upload.

Important Note: When using the upload method, ensure the format of the new company ID row matches the existing entries in the file.
